| ABOUT US
Tim Stewart was raised on a farm in Sutherland, Nebraska. He joined the Army in 1973 as a military policeman. His first duty station was in Denver, Colorado, where he met the love of his life, April, who was from Johnsburg, Illinois. They settled in the Johnsburg area in 1976 after leaving active duty. Tim remained in the Army Reserve and Illinois Army National Guard until 1998. He retired as a Captain following a very successful military career. Simultaneously, he was a manager in the industrial world working for several facilities in Northern Illinois.
For the past five years, Tim has worked in the financial services industry as a financial consultant. Tim has been doing leadership presentations since 1989. He developed the presentation after graduating from the officer candidate school in 1984. His purpose behind the presentation has always been to increase awareness of leadership and to show people how applying certain leadership principles can change their lives. Due to Tim's affiliation with the Securities and Exchange Commission, he was limited in his ability to earn an income from his presentations. This meant that all presentations were done on a volunteer basis. And, since he always got excellent reviews on the presentation, he was good for nothing.
That changed in March of 2007 when Tim left the financial industry to begin his own business in motivational speaking and leadership presentations. The business, called Reach for Your Dreams, will be focused on bringing the leadership message to corporate America as well as direct marketing organizations, such as Shaklee, athletic teams from junior high to the pro ranks and schools. The mission of Reach for Your Dreams is to guide people through understanding their dreams while assisting them in developing and implementing a plan of action to achieve them. Tim truly believes that if the only way to achieve your dreams is to reach for them. He wants to give you the motivation to do just that.
"Tim Stewart is a wonderful inspiration to people of all ages. When I taught college Psychology classes Tim would make an appearance late in the semester to "charge up" my students. The students included 17 year old adolescents to retired adults. After the class many knew themselves better and the direction they wanted to take in life. Tim's presentations are original and upbeat. One must experience these firsthand."
